Lead Teacher 3/4 Class

Milldam is actively seeking a Lead teacher for the 3 - 4 year old program. Duties and responsibilities include developing and delivering interactive learning programs designed to engage and educate young children. Curriculum is designed to reflect the community’s core values of equity, inclusivity, compassion, and respect.  

About Milldam

Milldam Nursery School is a cooperative preschool located in downtown Concord. Milldam is a play-based program supporting the social and emotional development of each child. The program’s primary goal is to help children learn the dynamics of living in a group situation. Children are encouraged to express themselves as individuals, and at the same time are guided through the art of becoming successful group members. Milldam divides students into age-based small class to afford each child the opportunity to build an identity with their teachers and a limited number of children and their parents. As families and teachers work together, the Milldam community is constantly striving to provide the best possible holistic preschool experience for children.

Job Qualifications:

  • Department of Early Education and Care Lead Teacher qualification

  • Infant/Toddler Certification Preferred

  • Work experience in early childhood education setting(s)

  • Strong collaboration skills: excellent communication, flexibility/adaptability, enjoys working closely with others 

 Job Responsibilities:

  • Promote an environment that nurtures the physical, social, emotional, and educational development of children

  • Work closely with colleagues to develop and implement age appropriate curriculum

  • Work closely with families, in and out of the classroom, to support an optimal learning experience for each child 

Job specifics:

  • Hours: 3 mornings per week

  • Salary is $21,000-25k per year based on experience; there is an opportunity for additional hours of extended day programming to increase salary $8,799-$14,000 per year
